New Gallery in Lewiston, call to Artists | Print |

A new Gallery has opened in Lewiston Maine and has put out the call to artists.  You might have seen the article by Daniel Hartill, staff writer for the Lewiston Sun Journal this week.

Below are some excerpts from the article:

CALLING ALL ARTISTS

Fledgling gallery hopes to spark local arts community

Kerry Landry along with three other artists has opened the Captive Elements Art House located at 25 Landry Road in Lewiston Maine.

Kerry has transformed a former apartment into a gallery, hanging paintings along with three partners - painters Melanie Therrien and Vincent Myrand and his brother, Jason Landry.

Kerry hopes to draw more artists to the gallery and sell their work for a small commission.  He hopes to draw regular traffic by rotating new art into some of his best spaces, ncluding a sash-covered wall where several of Myrand's paintings now hang.  He envisions bringing in sculpture and other media and that folks will come out to see the gallery.
