She attended Boston University's School for the Arts (SFA) and received her degree in Painting. She belongs to many art associations including the Pastel Painters of Maine (PPOM), where she has received Signature Membership status. She has also been Secretary for PPOM since 2004. Other societies include The Pastel Society of America (PSA) where she is an Associate Member, the Pastel Society of New Hampshire, Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC), Art Guild of the Kennebunks (AGK) and Maine Women in the Arts (MWA). She participates in numerous shows, paintouts and auctions as well as teaching summer workshops at Heartwood College of Art. She enjoys painting with pastels and oils, which allow her the freedom to create various sizes of very painterly or more detailed works.
