Grigsby's creative impulse has taken her to many different materials and media throughout the years. Painting and fabric have been common threads. Her fabric pieces that can be seen in the gallery are a process using disperse dye on paper which is then cut into collages and printed using a dry mount press on polyester fabric. Sometimes she brings her experience as a quilter into these pieces by adding stitching and embellishment. She is also a pastel artist and loves to paint outdoors and tries to capture the reverence and awe she feels about the beauty that surrounds us here in Maine.
