It is the studio and gallery of watercolor local artist Anne McMath. Anne creates whimsical, brightly colored watercolors of animals especially cats, figures, landscapes and stillife. Anne also has a set of KITTY KARDS which is a boxed set of eight different note cards with envelopes printed from her watercolors of cats. Anne says this of her work: “I am never more at peace than when I am drawing or painting and I love to see a smile on the viewer’s face as they look at one of my paintings.” Anne began painting and drawing when she lived at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. She then studied for many years with the Denver artist and teacher Harold A. Wolfinbarger. Winding Way Watercolors Studio & Gallery will be in its new location for the 2009 season. It will be part of the the ARTS IN ROCKLAND walks on weds night and THE Rockland ART MARKET held weds AMs in Harbor Park. In addition to Anne's work Winding Way Watercolors Studio & Gallery will carry the watercolors of Kathy Lane of Rockland, pottery by Pemiquid potter Robin Shott and handcrafted jewelry by NYC designer Ria Cooper.
